After that it is luke warm. I even pour boiling water in the thermos before adding very hot coffee (195 degrees) but it will not keep the coffee hot very long, especially after I have drunk 1 cup from it. Most of the time it works OK for me because I drink coffee quickly. I have a Alladin camping thermos which is relatively ugly and not nearly as convenient but will keep coffee hot 2 or 3 times longer. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful  doesn't keep warm for very long, Amazon Verified Purchase nice looking little carafe, but does not keep hot stuff hot for very long.
